Last night I could not sleep, and listened to the coyotes yip yipping out my window...years ago I gave a workshop in Arizona and a teacher created a coyote lap puppet that was all warm morning colors....Her story was of a coyote whose magnificent tail of oranges, reds, yellows, swept across the sky and painted the sunrise. I have thought of her and that story many early mornings that I go out walking. It is such an amazing time of day. What would be your story to explain the magic of sunrise?

Dear puppet friends,I offered a new theme for a 5 day pro-D course for ECE teachers this summer....The Mother Archetype - a therapeutic puppetry intensive. This East Indian beauty was made by Yung Dao, my Buddhist nun puppet trainee. She is back in Taiwan now weaving buddhist stories in a new puppet tradition. I feel so lucky to have circles of amazing people before me sharing this work with warmth of heart and really good intention. Lucky children who have these awesome teachers!!This is my first blog...I hope I have figured it out right...hopefully I will grow into the interesting aspects of blogging... at least I have figured out how to put a photo in!!!Try ...
