The Art of the Story Apron
A Regional Workshop for Teachers and Parents
Santa Cruz, CA April 6,7
The art of the story apron is all about the magic of finding a treasure that is hidden. It draws the soul in with wonder and surprise. Join us for this 2 day workshop on creating a pocket apron lap theater. We will hand felt a story landscape (wet and needle technique) with a felted pocket out of which a puppet story helper will tumble out to tell it’s tale. We will complete the apron with a seasonal silk skirt, and ribbon ties. Then we will explore the delightful ways of bringing the apron stories to life! We will work on story ritual, story voice, enlivening puppets, and inner wonder. This is the best storytelling theater ever!
