What do you do when the forest fires make the air unhealthy to breathe and you have to stay inside on a summer's day? Nana gets out the puppetry loose parts, silk, wool, curly wool, shells, .....and a fish puppet....
grandson says, 'I want to make a puppet show myself'. and he sets up his grand stage on the sofa, with an underwater world, lucky we have so many shells, and curly wool bits for sea plants. He chooses his simple fish marionette and tells tale after tale of Lulu the fish and her world.
I sit back and marvel. What could be better for an inside day, creating magic in story. Lulu did find a sweet shell house to live in too.
