One more Mother here, also holding her dear baby.
Babu is removable, so she can engage both arms
in activities. I often make extra accessories for my
table puppets, which for a mother archetype can
include a vest, apron, shawl, even a watering can!
I make all my puppets to move well, they are sturdy
but flexible enough to reach, sit, lie down, bend over
etc. My puppets stay useable for years and years.
