This Gentle and Loving Mama keeps her baby
close to her heart. I have found even having her walk
in the grasslands while I am singing an African song
mesmerizes the children... OH LOOK! there is a big Giraffe!
she is 8 1/2 inches ( a little taller with her head scarf ). and made with our best wool roving, made to last for years, and to move and gesture with grace.
I love creating multi cultural characters, and I find they
even move and gesture in the mood of the culture,
especially if you add ethnic song/music to your puppet
shows. This African Woman can be used in many
stories, as a mother, sister, specific doer i.e. baker, gardener etc.
If you have not yet expanded your puppetry
to include other cultures, now is a wonderful
time to do so!
